2008 - Halifax Bank breaks non-harassment pledge
Cancer sufferer takes Halifax to court after the bank 'harassed' him with 762 phone calls
Banking giant Halifax is in the dock today after debt collectors allegedly harassed a terminally ill man and his family - phoning him 762 times.
David Lloyd, 62, and his wife, Annette Edwards, 58, claim the bank aggressively pursued them after being told that Mr Lloyd had been diagnosed with terminal cancer.
The couple, who live in Sale, Greater Manchester, say the bank phoned them 762 times in pursuit of outstanding debts.
